Yuuka Nanri is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and singer born on March 13, 1984, in Nagasaki Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Space Craft Entertainment. Her career in entertainment began in childhood; she debuted on an NHK educational program in 1995 and joined the Minami Aoyama Shōjo Kagekidan theater troupe in 1997. After leaving the troupe in 2001, she made her voice acting debut as Bubbles in the Japanese dub of The Powerpuff Girls.
Nanri's voice acting career encompasses a wide range of roles. She gained early recognition for her role as Henrietta in the 2003 series Gunslinger Girl. Other notable anime roles include Nao Yūki in My-HiME, Karen Ichijō in School Rumble, Mao Nome in Macross Zero, Sayuri Sawatari in the film The Place Promised in Our Early Days, Ritsuko Mukae in Kids on the Slope, Saori Chiba in Wandering Son, Nami Shishidō in The Girl Who Leapt Through Space, Erika Takakura in Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne, Liz T. The single Honō no Tobira, from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, made history in 2005 as the first single by a voice actor to top the Oricon daily rankings.
