Emiri Suyama is a Japanese voice actress and former idol, born in Tokyo on May 26, 1999. She is affiliated with the talent agency Mausu Promotion. Her journey into the entertainment industry began in 2014 as a first-generation member of the idol group Rainbow Conquistador. After taking a hiatus in 2017 due to health issues, she graduated from the group in early 2018 to focus on a career in voice acting. She then trained at the Mausu Promotion Actor Training School, becoming an official member of the agency in April 2019.
Suyama's interest in voice acting was sparked by anime she watched in her youth, including Black Butler and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Before her voice acting debut, she was also active in music clubs during elementary and middle school, where she played the cornet and flute.
Her professional voice acting debut came in 2018 with the role of Erika Burrows in the science fiction series Beatless and its sequel, Beatless Final Stage. That same year, she also began voicing Sakuya Shirayuri in the long-running franchise Aikatsu Friends!.
Suyama has built a diverse portfolio of anime roles across various genres. In 2020, she voiced the character Tomo in the comedy series Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga, a show about historical warlords reincarnated as dogs. Another significant role that year was Rin Kumaneko, the serious and intelligent young head operator in the mecha anime Tomica Kizuna Gattai Earth Granner. In 2021, she took on the part of Shion Shirasawa in the original animated film Hula Fulla Dance. Shion is portrayed as a skilled but emotionally reserved hula dancer at a resort in Fukushima Prefecture. Her film work also includes a role in the 2023 feature The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store.
Beyond the roles mentioned, Suyama has contributed to numerous other popular anime series. Her television credits include appearances in Blue Period, Blue Lock, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, and the third season of Sound! Euphonium. She has also lent her voice to characters in video games, such as Haruka Shiozaki in Blue Reflection: Tie and Etsuko Otonashi in the massive hit Uma Musume Pretty Derby.
