Elke Appelt
Description
Elke Appelt is a German voice actress known for her work in the German dubbing of anime series and films. She is best recognized for providing the German voice of Koneko Toujou, a key character in the High School DxD franchise. Appelt voiced this role across multiple installments of the series, including the original High School DxD, High School DxD New, and High School DxD BorN. Her portrayal of the quiet but powerful nekomata familiar became one of her most prominent and recurring roles. Another major anime role for Appelt is Listy El Da Sherfied in the series Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, as well as its accompanying bonus OVAs. In the theatrical anime film Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos, she voiced the character Miranda. Beyond these central roles, Appelt has contributed to other anime productions in supporting capacities. She voiced Cathy in the Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail OVA series and had smaller roles in the psychological thriller Psycho-Pass as Hiroko Fujii and as a reporter. She also appeared as a hotel owner in an episode of Super Sonico. A notable pattern in Appelt’s career is her frequent dubbing of characters originally voiced by Japanese voice actress Rina Satou, a collaboration seen in both Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero (as Listy El Da Sherfied) and across the High School DxD series (as Koneko Toujou). Her work as a dubbing artist has established her as a recognizable presence in German anime localizations.
