María José Estévez, also known as Majo Estévez, is a Venezuelan voice actress recognized for her extensive work in Latin American Spanish dubbing for anime, animated series, and live-action television. Born in Venezuela, she is a trained social communicator and journalist who began her career in dubbing in 2005. Her initial interest in voice work was sparked by a friend, leading her to take a dubbing workshop with instructor Renzo Jiménez. Her first professional role was voicing the character Beth Oblong in the series Los Oblongs. She later gained experience at Estudios Lain in Caracas, where she began with minor roles that allowed her to develop her craft. Currently, she resides in Ave María, Florida, where she continues to work remotely in dubbing and voice-over.

Estévez is known for a versatile vocal range that allows her to portray characters from young girls to elderly women, and occasionally young boys. Among her most prominent anime roles are those in the popular series My Hero Academia, where she voices both Tsuyu Asui and Momo Yaoyorozu. Her work in this series also includes the film My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes' Mission. She is also recognized for voicing Rena Ryūgū in Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU and for her portrayal of the protagonist Riko in both the Made in Abyss series and the film Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul. In the magical girl genre, she provided voices for Emily and Brooha in the series Glitter Force.

Her career also features a significant number of roles in other notable anime. Early in her career in Venezuela, she voiced characters such as Illyasviel von Einzbern in Fate/stay night, Kluke in Blue Dragon, May Chang in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Himawari Kunogi in xxxHOLiC. She has also been involved in dubbing for donghua, the Chinese animation industry, providing additional voices for The King's Avatar: For the Glory.

Beyond anime, Estévez has a prolific career dubbing characters in Western animation. She is widely known as the long-standing voice of Musa from the fourth to sixth seasons of Winx Club, for which she also performed musical themes. Another notable role is Pearl in Steven Universe, a character for which she also sang. Her extensive filmography includes voicing Gwen in the Total Drama franchise, Millie Burtonberger in Kid vs. Kat, Artemisa in Young Justice, and various characters in South Park. She has also lent her voice to numerous Barbie animated films, such as Barbie in a Christmas Carol and Barbie as the Island Princess, roles that allowed her to combine her voice acting with her singing abilities.

In addition to her acting work, Estévez is an experienced singer and has performed theme songs and musical inserts for many of the series and films she has worked on, including Winx Club, Pop Pixie, and Steven Universe. She is also a commercial voice-over artist for radio and advertising, and works as an instructor for dubbing workshops at Voces de Marca, a company founded by Frank Carreño and Lucía Tovar. Her contributions to the industry were recognized in December 2023 with a nomination for the Voice Arts Awards.
