In the near future, a warp gate connects modern-day Japan to the fantasy world of Euthania, a land with a mild climate inhabited by various magical races and dangerous monsters, inspired by Thai and Southeast Asian mythology. Through this portal, two young people embark on parallel journeys to escape their pasts and find a place to call home.

Daichi Arai, a 21-year-old from Japan, feels suffocated by his overprotective family and the expectation to join the family business. Seeking freedom and a simpler life, he leaves for Euthania, initially living as a self-sufficient hermit on the outskirts of a village before slowly integrating into the local community. Meanwhile, Rinrada Ratchamanee (Rin), a 19-year-old fairy-like girl from Euthania who was orphaned at a young age, travels to Japan. She is eager to immerse herself in the human culture her late father came from, hoping to build an independent life for herself.

As Rin struggles to find work in a society that is wary of her magical abilities, eventually landing an entry-level call center job, Daichi learns to adapt to the rhythms of rural Euthanian life. The film follows their struggles and small triumphs in their new environments, exploring the universal expat experience of feeling like an outsider and the search for belonging. A notable narrative twist reveals that their stories are not happening simultaneously; Daichi's journey takes place roughly a decade before Rin's. It is ultimately shown that Daichi, having found his home in Euthania, becomes the one who takes in the orphaned Rin, becoming her adoptive father. The film culminates with Rin, now disillusioned by the difficulties of life in Japan, receiving a message from her father encouraging her to follow her own heart, whether that means staying or returning home.
