Gelpiyo and his friends are strange, squishy creatures that have been released into a mysterious town called Geltown. They possess a unique quality known as the Alpha Gel body, which allows them to bounce back and recover no matter how many times they are crushed or flattened. These characters are sent by a company called Alpha Industry, also known as the Gel Factory, with a seemingly grand plan to use their resilient nature to cause trouble and further the organization's goal of world domination. However, their schemes constantly go awry as they become involved in the everyday events, local culture, and seasonal festivals of Geltown, turning their mission into a chaotic and often heartwarming comedy.

The story takes place in Geltown, where the Gelpiyo have been mass-released from toy capsules and UFO catchers as part of a plot by the organization's boss, Boss Chiki. The main character, Gelpiyo, is joined by a cast of similarly gelatinous companions including Blapiyo, Aopiyo, Obapiyo, Momopiyo, Midopiyo, Parupiyo, and Sumopiyo. The voice cast includes Emi Nitta as Gelpiyo and Blapiyo, Shota Aoi as Aopiyo and Obapiyo, and Taisei Fukumoto as Majorca, among others. The narrative unfolds through short, slapstick episodes that follow the group's daily misadventures as they inadvertently bring more fun and pandemonium to the town rather than achieving any real world domination, all set to the theme song delulu performed by Tomioka Ai.
