Description
In a near-future society where every action and event is meticulously recorded in digital archives, a young detective named Charlotte solves complex cases without ever leaving her specialized cyber-chair. She is joined by her sardonic AI partner, W.A.T.S.O.N, an artificial intelligence designed to analyze data, detect anomalies, and manage records. Together, they investigate a puzzling anomaly at a virtual casino: the winner’s name unfailingly vanishes from the official game logs after each round, leaving no trace of who truly won. As Charlotte delves deeper into the digital casino’s encrypted layers, she encounters a cast of enigmatic figures—KUZU, a gambler who moves by instinct rather than data; Gomi Juzo, a poker player who senses distortions in the game; Fortune Teller Red, a figure tied to choices rather than predictions; MONO.EYE, a single‑eyed guardian of the system; and Matilda, a player who exists entirely outside the recorded history. A detached narrator reads the anomalous logs from outside the game. The investigation becomes a philosophical probe into the nature of truth and observation—what does it mean when recorded data contradicts lived reality, and who holds the power to determine what is real? The narrative unfolds primarily through social‑media fragments, positioning the audience as active observers of the unfolding mystery. The story challenges the reliability of digital memory and asks whether victory belongs only to those who appear in the archives.
