Description
Justice is a prominent member of the Interstellar Union Army and holds the rank of one of the Oración Seis Interstellar, an elite group of six powerful soldiers within that organization. His position is that of a commander, leading a personal squad of soldiers from his flagship, the commando carrier Angel Feather. Before joining the army, Justice was known as James Holloway, a former prince from a kingdom on a planet in the Kaede Cosmos.

In terms of appearance, Justice is a young man with light-brown eyes and spiky white or gray hair that falls to about his ears. His attire is predominantly a form-fitting black and white spacesuit that covers his entire body. He is a known user of an Ether Gear, a supernatural ability that allows him to manipulate ether.

Justice's personality is defined by a serious, determined, and unwavering dedication to his concept of cosmic order. He possesses virtually no sense of humor and is singularly focused on his duties, particularly his pursuit of the space pirate Elsie Crimson, one of the Oración Seis Galáctica. This obsession is a core part of his character, stemming from a great personal loss he suffered because of her in the past. While this fixation can make him seem ruthless, he has demonstrated a strict adherence to his own moral code, showing empathy even for criminals, as he once chided a fellow officer for lacking compassion for the lives lost when a Chronophage consumed the planet Guilst, stating that a life is a life. He is also highly confident in his own power as an Ether Gear master. However, his emotional rigidity makes him vulnerable to manipulation, and his judgment can become clouded by his rage and desire for retribution against those connected to Elsie.

Justice's primary motivation throughout the story is the capture and elimination of Elsie Crimson. This goal overshadows nearly all his other duties as a soldier. For instance, during a crisis on the planet Foresta, he was far more concerned with confronting Elsie and Shiki Granbell, the Demon King of the Edens Zero who has ties to her, than with the larger strategic threats posed by figures like Poseidon Nero or the villainous Ziggy. He believes that those with the authority of the Oración Seis Interstellar have the right to eradicate any target they deem evil, and he views Shiki as a future great evil simply due to his association with Elsie and his power.

In his role within the Interstellar Union Army, Justice often leads his team on missions to pursue high-profile criminals. His team includes his officers, Victory and Creed, with whom he has a long working relationship. Justice acts as the unit's uncompromising leader, while Victory often provides a more light-hearted counterpoint. The death of his subordinate, Creed, has a profound impact on Justice. When a fellow agent falsely accuses Shiki's crewmate, Homura Kogetsu, of the murder, Justice’s grief and fury lead him to unquestioningly accept this claim, setting his sights on her as a new target.

Justice undergoes a significant, albeit late, development in his character arc. For much of the series, his worldview is narrow and fueled by a deep-seated misconception about Elsie. It is ultimately revealed on their home planet of Lendard that the great tragedy in their past was not an act of wanton betrayal by Elsie, but rather a desperate measure she took to stop her own warmongering parents. Upon learning the full truth, Justice finally realizes how blind he has been and forgives her. In their final moments, as the time-devouring Chronophage descends upon Lendard, Justice and Elsie choose to remain together, reconciling as the planet and its history, including their own, is consumed.

Justice wields the Ether Gear known as Star Drain. This powerful ability allows him to absorb the ether directly from a planet and use it to manifest formidable battle gear and launch astronomical attacks. He has stated that his mastery of this Ether Gear is on par with members of the Oración Seis Galáctica. His techniques include Meteor, which surrounds his body in a cloak of ether to grant him incredible speed and the ability to fly; and Grand Chariot, a powerful energy beam attack. He can also summon weapons made of pure ether, such as a spear named Antares, which he calls a spear of light to pierce through evil, and an ether katana. When piloting his starfighter, he can link his Ether Gear to the ship to enhance his firepower, demonstrating its versatility in space combat.
