Description
Misaki Harada is a middle school student at Alice Academy, enrolled in the Special Ability class. She is fourteen years old, born on June 14, with a height of 160 centimeters and blood type B. Her Alice ability is the Doppelganger, which allows her to multiply herself into two or more copies.
Misaki is generally upbeat and energetic, often seen teasing and playfully picking on her close friend Tsubasa Ando. Despite her lighthearted manner, she is also a capable fighter, able to hold her own against male opponents in physical confrontations. She is a member of the Watching Over Ruka group, a small circle of students who keep an eye on the younger boy Ruka Nogi. As an upperclassman, she takes a protective, big-sister-like role toward Mikan Sakura, especially when Tsubasa is not available.
Her relationship with Tsubasa is central to her role in the story. The two are frequently seen together, and during the school festival they performed the Last Dance, an Alice Academy tradition believed to bind a couple together forever. Other characters have even referred to them as a married couple. Misaki herself insists that she sees Tsubasa only as a friend and does not have romantic feelings for him, but the closeness of their bond remains a recurring point.
Within the academy, some younger students, Kitsuneme and Yome, develop innocent crushes on her. Over the course of the series, Misaki demonstrates both her combat skills and her willingness to protect those she cares about. In the manga, her hair is depicted as slightly longer than in the anime, and she ties it up when attending the Flower Princess Festival. Her development is subtle, focusing on her steady presence as a supportive senpai and her deepening friendship with Tsubasa.
