Kyō Sawagi is the elder twin sister of the Sawagi pair and serves as the student council president of Sawaga High School. As children, she and her sister witnessed a bento brawl, an event that inspired them to become participants in the world of half-price bento battles. Three years before the events of the story, the twins began fighting together under the duo name Orthrus. Her personality is contradictory: she can be overconfident and aggressive in battle, yet at other times she acts childish and immature. She has a habit of placing shopping baskets on the heads of opponents she defeats, though she shows respect toward those who help her. Her motivations stem from a desire to be a noble wolf, a term used within the bento-brawling community. In the story, she acts as a supporting character and a rival figure, interacting mainly with her twin sister, who is the vice president and a calmer counterpart, as well as with other wolves in the half-price bento fights. She does not undergo significant character development over the course of the anime.
