Nurse Joy is the name shared by a large extended family of nearly identical female nurses who operate the Pokémon Centers seen throughout the Pokémon anime. Because so many of them exist and they all look alike, many people initially believe they are dealing with one single nurse, only to be corrected that each Joy is a different person belonging to the same family.
