Description
Witnessing his parents die in a Godzilla attack at age four forged Haruo Sakaki's lifelong vendetta against the creature. Raised aboard the spaceship Aratrum by his adoptive grandfather, Daichi Tani, Haruo gained a reputation for rebelliousness. This culminated in an attempt to sabotage an expedition to the uninhabitable planet Tau Ceti e, believing elderly volunteers like Daichi were being coerced into a suicide mission to conserve resources. The protest failed, resulting in Haruo's imprisonment and Daichi's death during the mission.

When the Aratrum returned to Earth millennia later, Haruo devised a military strategy to kill Godzilla using classified data from the Exif priest Metphies. His initial operation defeated a smaller offspring, Godzilla Filius, but awakened the colossal Godzilla Earth, which annihilated human forces. Haruo survived and encountered the Houtua, descendants of humanity adapted to Earth's changed ecosystem.

Haruo later allied with the technologically advanced Bilusaludo to deploy "Mechagodzilla City," a self-replicating nanometal structure derived from the original Mechagodzilla. The Bilusaludo proposed fusing human consciousness with the nanometal to enhance combat capabilities against Godzilla. Haruo rejected this, prioritizing human identity over tactical advantage. Conflict intensified when the nanometal forcibly assimilated his childhood friend and romantic interest, Yuko Tani, rendering her brain-dead. To halt the nanometal's spread, Haruo destroyed Mechagodzilla City's control center, sacrificing the primary weapon against Godzilla but saving Yuko's life; she remained in a vegetative state.

Metphies then revealed his true motive: manipulating Haruo's hatred to summon Ghidorah, an extradimensional entity the Exif worshipped as a god. Metphies positioned Haruo as a messianic figure whose "sacrifice" would allow Ghidorah to fully manifest. As Ghidorah attacked Godzilla, Metphies subjected Haruo to telepathic assaults, exploiting his guilt over Yuko's condition and deaths caused by his campaigns. Memories of his parents—particularly a charm symbolizing spring and rebirth linked to his name's meaning ("to lament the end of spring")—rekindled his belief in hope over vengeance. Haruo resisted Metphies' influence, damaging the Exif's artifact and severing Ghidorah's connection, enabling Godzilla to destroy the entity. Metphies died, warning Ghidorah would return if Haruo lived.

Recognizing his obsession with revenge perpetuated cycles of destruction, Haruo chose self-sacrifice to break the cycle. He piloted a Vulture mech carrying Yuko's nanometal-infused body toward Godzilla, provoking the creature to incinerate them both. This eradicated the last nanometal traces, preventing Ghidorah's return and ensuring the Houtua could coexist with Godzilla. Posthumously, the Houtua deified him as the "Lord of Wrath," using his story in rituals where children symbolically burn their fears. His legacy endured through Maina, a Houtua twin who bore his child after a telepathic "life connection."
