Jesse Grimm

Description
Jesse Grimm is a German voice actor born on July 11, 1988, who has built a extensive career in dubbing, lending his voice to numerous characters in anime series and films for the German-speaking market. He began his work in voice acting at the age of eight in 1996, following in the footsteps of his father, who is also an actor and voice actor. Beyond animation, his work spans dubbing for live-action series and films, as well as voice work for video games, audiobooks, and radio plays.

Grimm has become a prominent voice in German anime dubs, taking on leading and supporting roles across a wide variety of genres. He is known for voicing complex and often stoic protagonists, such as Shinei Nouzen, the squad leader known as the Reaper, in the war drama 86, and Haruo Sakaki, the protagonist of the Godzilla anime film trilogy. In fantasy series, he voices the enigmatic doll Gowther in The Seven Deadly Sins franchise across multiple series and films, as well as characters like Cylis in So I'm a Spider, So What? and Philip Boreas Greyrat in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. His repertoire also includes roles in supernatural and mystery anime, such as Kirisame in B: The Beginning Succession, Fuyuto Kyougoku in Case File nº221: Kabukicho, and Kouto Fujisaki in Noragami.

In addition to these, Grimm has contributed his voice to a wide range of other notable anime. He is the German voice for Leonhart Saijou in The Irregular at Magic High School and its film, Hakuya Kwonmin in How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, Ryouta Suzui in Kakegurui, and M-21 in Noblesse. He also voiced Soji Okita in the Hakuoki franchise, Hiroomi Nase in Beyond the Boundary, Xiao Ming in the anthology film Flavors of Youth, and Andrea Cavalcanti in Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo. His long-running work in the Naruto and Boruto franchises includes voicing the character Choujuurou.

While much of his work in anime is spread across different studios and directors, he has frequently collaborated with Patrick Bach, who voices Meliodas in The Seven Deadly Sins to Grimm's Gowther. Many of his dubs, such as the one for 86, are produced at Hamburger Synchron. Besides his voice work, Grimm is also active as a dialogue book author for dubs and as a narrator for audiobooks.
