Description
Glenn Arias began as a CIA operative infiltrating the bioweapons black market. Seduced by its lucrative potential, he went rogue and eventually dominated the trade after the collapses of Tricell and Neo Umbrella. He pioneered bioweapons capable of distinguishing friend from foe, increasing their market value. During his wedding to Sarah, a U.S. government drone strike targeted the ceremony, killing Sarah and nearly all attendees. Arias survived due to his bodyguard Diego Gómez's intervention, though Diego sustained catastrophic injuries requiring extensive surgical reconstruction and viral enhancement that transformed him into a pseudo-Tyrant. Diego’s daughter María also survived, losing her right eye and receiving unspecified physical enhancements. This catastrophe ignited Arias's vengeful crusade against humanity.

Partnering with remnants of the Spanish cult Los Iluminados, Arias developed the tripartite A-Virus (Animality Virus) to eradicate mankind and reset the world. Type I, a latent strain, spread through A-GUA bottled water across the northeastern U.S. and Canada. Type II, a gaseous trigger strain, activated the latent infection. Type III served as a vaccine, curing infection, reversing zombification, and marking inoculated individuals as non-targets for infected hosts. This design enabled controlled outbreaks against specific enemies, though spontaneous Type I activations caused unintended local outbreaks that drew authorities' attention.

Arias demonstrated exceptional combat prowess, leveraging CIA training in firearms, hand-to-hand combat, and tactical subterfuge. He overpowered BSAA agent Chris Redfield in their first encounter and survived a multi-story fall, displaying physical capabilities beyond typical human limits—hinting at possible undocumented viral enhancements. As a strategist, he orchestrated complex traps like monomolecular wires rigged across his Mexican estate and manipulated global bioweapons networks.

His vendetta escalated with an attack on a Chicago university researching the A-Virus and the abduction of researcher Rebecca Chambers, chosen for her resemblance to Sarah. He imprisoned her in a recreated wedding chapel, preserved Sarah’s severed arm for grafting onto Rebecca, and infected her with a vaccine-resistant A-Virus strain developed using her antibodies. Arias accelerated his plan to unleash Type II across New York City via tanker trucks, triggering mass zombification. Amidst the chaos, he expressed nihilistic satisfaction at humanity's downfall.

Confronted by Chris Redfield on his skyscraper rooftop, Arias was defeated and thrown through a glass ceiling, sustaining mortal injuries. Before death, he merged with the mortally wounded Diego via tendrils emerging from Diego's back, forming the symbiotic entity "Ariego." This fused being possessed Tyrant-like strength, retractable claws, and heightened durability but was destroyed by Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, and BSAA operatives using explosives and a railgun. Arias's legacy persisted through María Gómez, who survived *Vendetta* but later died aiding another bioterrorist.
