TV-Series
Description
Momo Kawashima is a third-year student at Ooarai Girls High School and serves as the Public Relations officer on the student council. She is also a member of Turtle Team, initially filling the roles of both gunner and loader on the team's Panzer 38(t), which is later upgraded to a Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer, after which she becomes the dedicated loader. Physically, she is the tallest among the student council members, with black hair and a distinctive monocle-style eyepiece, often wearing a choker around her neck.

She initially appears cool, strict, and composed, but this exterior quickly gives way to a more volatile personality. Momo is short-tempered, sensitive, and prone to heated outbursts of indignation, anxiety, and sometimes hysterical despair, especially when under pressure during tankery matches. When she gets angry while shooting, she loses all focus on aiming, a trait that famously causes her to miss a point-blank shot in the anime. She particularly dislikes being called "Momo-chan."

Her primary motivation is loyalty to student council president Anzu Kadotani and a deep devotion to saving Ooarai from closure. This drive pushes her to work excessively hard, often putting herself under great stress. Later, in Das Finale, her teammates recognize her dedication and unanimously agree to make her the overall commander of the Ooarai team, hoping that a victory in the Continuous Cup will allow her to take AO entrance exams for Shimofusadai National University.

Within the story, Momo is one of the three secondary protagonists alongside Anzu and Yuzu Koyama. Her role is that of a capable but highly strung support member who both energizes and exasperates her teammates. Her key relationships are with Anzu, whom she respects and tries to emulate in dedication, and with her Turtle Team crewmates, who bear the brunt of her temper but also benefit from her earnest effort. Over the course of the series, she develops from a seemingly cold and strict figure into a more openly passionate and determined one, eventually stepping up as a leader despite her nervous disposition. Her notable abilities include competent operation of the tank's gun and loader duties, but her emotional reactivity is a weakness that she must manage to be effective in battle.
