Description
Angela Miller served as a police officer in the Harvardville Police Department's Special Response Team during the 2004 Harvardville bioterror incident. Born and raised in Harvardville, she took pride in protecting her hometown. Her early career featured a significant incident where she impulsively jumped into a river to rescue a drowning child. Though successful, three fellow officers suffered serious injuries rescuing her from the water. This event haunted her but strengthened her commitment to saving lives, driving her to join the elite SRT unit.
Angela maintained a close relationship with her older brother, Curtis Miller, until he lost his wife and daughter in the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident. The tragedy changed Curtis, straining their bond. He later grew suspicious of the WilPharma Corporation's research activities, leading to his arrest for trespassing and eventual disappearance around 2002. Angela took the loss of her niece particularly hard, addressing diary entries to her posthumously and struggling to release family memories. By 2005, she launched her own investigation into WilPharma after TerraSave exposed unethical clinical trials in India, despite warnings from her police chief.
During the Harvardville Airport t-virus outbreak in November 2005, Angela's SRT unit responded alongside federal agent Leon S. Kennedy. She helped rescue survivors including Claire Redfield, Senator Ron Davis, and a child named Rani Chawla. Her partner Greg Glenn became infected during the operation and was left behind, which devastated her. Learning about an existing t-virus vaccine that could have saved Greg intensified her fury toward WilPharma.
Following the airport incident, evidence implicated Curtis in the attack. Angela and Leon discovered his house burned down before tracking him to the WilPharma research facility. There, Curtis revealed he had injected himself with the G-virus, mutating into a bio-weapon. He expressed belief that the U.S. government covered up Raccoon City's truth. During the confrontation, Curtis viewed Angela as a potential mate due to their blood relation. Angela and Leon ultimately forced him into an incineration chasm, killing him.
In the aftermath, Angela discovered her brother had been manipulated by WilPharma researcher Frederic Downing, who orchestrated the outbreaks to sell viruses. Though she confronted Downing and pointed an unloaded gun at him, she chose to spare him, stating he was "too pathetic to kill." Recovered vaccine data offered potential to prevent future outbreaks, providing some solace. Angela processed her grief and trauma, resolving to move forward.
