Mizuki Takase has been Kazuki Sendō's friend since their first year of junior high school, continuing into the same college. Energetic and athletic, she sports long red hair typically in a side ponytail, violet eyes, and stands 160 cm tall. She initially holds hostile, skeptical views towards otaku culture and dōjinshi, perceiving enthusiasts as smelly, dirty, and disgusting. Driven by unspoken romantic feelings for Kazuki, she strongly opposes his involvement in creating dōjinshi, fearing it consumes their time together and signals an unwelcome shift in his interests.

Despite her aversion, these feelings compel her to monitor Kazuki's activities. She actively tries to divert him from dōjinshi, citing neglected studies and their deteriorating time together. Frustration over his dedication often leads her to angrily call him "Baka" before storming off, yet she remains unable to fully disengage. This conflict pushes her to covertly attend conventions, enduring discomfort to stay near him, revealing persistent loyalty beneath her objections.

Over time, exposure to Kazuki's world begins a reluctant shift. Witnessing his determination and satisfaction in creation gradually softens her stance, leading her to acknowledge his resolve even without sharing his passion. This evolution sees her participate in otaku-related activities, experimenting with cosplay and purchasing expensive DVD sets. While never fully embracing the otaku identity, her actions demonstrate acceptance of Kazuki's path and a willingness to engage with his world to preserve their connection.
