Description
Peppercat embodies a distinctly feline CAT-type Medabot design. She diverges from her predecessor Magentacat by lacking a forehead thunderbolt, instead featuring a yellow forehead marked by a black line and topped with a screw-like decoration. Her physique includes thicker legs, a skirt equipped with male plugs rather than female sockets, and a wire-like tail. Later depictions, like Medarot DS, show her arms displaying paw-like patterns against a black background.
Primarily owned by Samantha (Kikuhime), Peppercat leads the Screws gang. She demonstrates superior combat capabilities compared to her teammates Totalizer and Cyandog (later Krosserdog), whose performance suffers due to medal compatibility issues. Her debut occurs during a robattle against Dr. Bokchoy in the anime's first episode.
In combat, Peppercat specializes in high-speed electrical attacks that can temporarily immobilize opponents. Her standard configuration includes:
* Head: Light Circuit (Thunder/Stealth attack)
* Right Arm: Light Jab/Light Jump (Thunder attack)
* Left Arm: Light Blow (Thunder attack)
* Legs: Quick Alert (bipedal, optimized for forest and grassland terrain)
From Medarot 7 onward, her head part's Thunder attack functionality was replaced with Stealth.
A recurring narrative involves Samantha's attempts to boost Peppercat's performance using incompatible male-oriented parts, consistently leading to failure due to Peppercat's requirement for parts designed specifically for the Queen Medal. Notable failures include a loss to Snailoader when equipped with Decoy Crab and Death Beam parts, and poor control when fitted with Skelbot's legs or Frontline's left arm during Medabots Spirit.
Within Medarot Damashii (Medabots Spirits), Peppercat develops a romantic attachment to Arc-Dash. After he rescues her from Unitrix and Exor, she expresses admiration and gratitude, refers to him as her hero, and requests Samantha to convey her appreciation, indicating mutual affection.
Beyond Samantha, a distinct Peppercat appears under Sakura Ooshima's command as part of the Willows group in Medarot DS, marking the character's first association with another owner.
