TV-Series
Description
Bjorn is a burly, muscular man with dark, scruffy hair trailing down his neck and a thick beard bound by string into a goatee. His rugged attire—a padded coat fastened with chest buckles and a nasal helmet—sharpens his intimidating presence.
A seasoned warrior, Bjorn wields unmatched combat prowess and can trigger a berserk state by ingesting a berserker mushroom. This frenzy amplifies his strength, ferocity, and pain resistance, enabling him to endure grievous wounds in battle. Yet it strips his ability to recognize friend from foe, threatening all nearby.
As the second-in-command and longest-standing member of Askeladd’s Viking band, Bjorn’s loyalty to his leader is unshakable. He considers Askeladd his sole true friend, a bond he upholds steadfastly even as the rest of the group rebels.
Mortally wounded while shielding Prince Canute, Bjorn confronts Askeladd in a final duel, craving a warrior’s death. Mid-fight, he admits his yearning to be Askeladd’s companion. With a fatal blow, Askeladd reciprocates, declaring Bjorn his only friend.
The name Bjorn, rooted in Scandinavian meaning "bear," echoes his savage might and untamed brutality in combat.
