Todd is a small, squat henchman in the employ of Professor Moriarty. He maintains a deeply skeptical view of situations and is typically the first to voice criticism toward Moriarty or his schemes. Before his current occupation, Todd was a member of the Bengal Pirates; he and his associate Smiley avoided capture when the rest of the crew was arrested. Todd regularly works alongside Smiley, and their contrasting personalities—Todd's pessimism against Smiley's optimism—combined with their general ineptitude, often position them as a source of comic relief.
