Description
Misae Nohara, born Misae Koyama, is a 29-year-old housewife from Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, raised alongside sisters Masae and Musae. She oversees her household with a mix of rigid discipline and self-contradiction, imposing strict rules on her family while freely bending them herself. Her hypocritical tendencies manifest in comically violent disciplinary tactics like the "Guri-Guri Attack," grinding her fists into heads, and the theatrical "Genkotsu Scene," delivering exaggerated punches to misbehaving son Shinnosuke and husband Hiroshi.

Financially, she enforces austerity on her husband and son but splurges on luxuries for herself and daughter Himawari, compulsively stockpiling sale items despite their impracticality. Hidden personal savings, often uncovered during emergencies, temporarily alleviate family crises. Her sporadic part-time retail work falters due to outbursts of temper and limited tech proficiency.

In *Arashi o Yobu Appare! Sengoku Daikassen*, Misae’s fierce maternal instincts launch her into action when Shinnosuke vanishes after unearthing a buried historical letter. After verifying its origins, she and Hiroshi time-travel via their car to the Sengoku era, aiding the Kasuga clan against the Okurai faction to secure their son’s safety. This adventure showcases her tactical adaptability and resolve to unite her family across centuries.

Jealousy over Hiroshi’s interactions with women sparks humorous clashes, while secret daydreams of romancing younger European men subtly shape Himawari’s behavior. Body insecurities—weight shifts and breast size—plague her self-image, yet she displays tenderness by caring for sick relatives or supporting Hiroshi during storms.

Her character blends recurring comedic flaws—hypocrisy, vanity, impulsivity—with steadfast maternal loyalty. Though growth remains understated amid habitual quirks, her decisive leadership in crises reveals a deeper layer of resourcefulness when family bonds are at stake.
