Description
Zorori, a yellow fox, journeys with twin boar apprentices Ishishi and Noshishi. His quest stems from a vow to honor his late mother Zororeene’s final wishes: to crown himself "King of Pranks," secure a castle, and wed a beautiful woman—ideally a princess. These ambitions propel him through a world of anthropomorphic animals.

Clever and inventive, Zorori designs mechas and machines for his schemes. He adopts a selfish, arrogant persona, referring to himself as "Oresama," yet consistently uncovers hidden kindness. Though he professes disdain for good deeds, he intervenes to defend families or aid the vulnerable, sometimes sacrificing his own gains. This duality surfaces when he feigns illness during altruistic acts. He radiates childlike joy for pranks and singing but sinks into melancholy when memories of his mother resurface, especially on her birthday.

Raised primarily by Zororeene, Zorori’s father—treasure hunter and biplane pilot Zorondo Ron—departed early to pursue aviation. Zorondo occasionally reappears to support Zorori in pivotal moments. Zororeene’s death during his coming-of-age ceremony ignited his lifelong mission. His first major escapade unfolded in Levanna Kingdom, where a foiled plot to win a castle and bride through trickery led him to Ishishi and Noshishi. Following further adventures, including "The Great Duel at Zorori Castle," the trio forged an unbreakable bond, solidifying the boars as his steadfast followers.

Zorori dons a straw hat (sandogasa), blue kimono, striped cape, and forest-green pants. As the heroic "Kaiketsu," he wears a black hat akin to Tuxedo Mask’s, an eye mask reminiscent of Swiper the Fox, a black-and-red cape, blue tights emblazoned with "ZZ," a fox-head-shaped golden belt, and red boots. Disguises are his forte, often retaining the eye mask.

His name echoes the Spanish "zorro" (fox), honoring his species and the legendary hero Zorro, whose attire inspired Zorori’s iconic look. Throughout all media—books, OVAs, television, and films—his essence remains: prankster ambitions, loyalty to his mother’s memory, and accidental heroism. His bond with Ishishi and Noshishi charts his evolution from self-declared villain to a figure who cherishes friendship and justice, however reluctantly.
