Itsuki Takeuchi is a high school student and part-time employee at Shibukawa's Esso gas station, working alongside friends Takumi Fujiwara and Koichiro Iketani. A self-proclaimed member of the Akina SpeedStars, he drives a Toyota AE85 Levin, initially mistaking it for the higher-performance AE86 model. Despite his enthusiasm for cars and street racing, his driving skills remain relatively inexperienced. He stands 163 cm tall, weighs 55 kg, has black hair and brown eyes, with blood type O. Known for his loud, optimistic, and excitable personality, Itsuki frequently provides comic relief. He idolizes Takumi's driving abilities and dreams of gaining notoriety as part of an "Eight-Six duo." His romantic experiences include brief relationships; Saori ended things after a crash during an impromptu race with Shingo Shoji, and Kazumi later moved to Saitama. These failures led him and Iketani to humorously label themselves "lonely drivers." In *Extra Stage 2: Tabidachi no Green*, Itsuki appears primarily in supportive interactions with Iketani. He and Kenji express concern over Iketani's unresolved feelings for Mako Sato, encouraging him to reconnect after their accidental reunion. When Iketani announces his determination to pursue a relationship with Mako, Itsuki reacts with initial jealousy but ultimately cheers for his friend. In a lighthearted scene, he and Kenji break the fourth wall, reacting with exaggerated surprise to Iketani's resolve. Itsuki later discusses Iketani's growth with Kenji and their boss, Yuichi Tachibana; Tachibana advises them to seek girlfriends themselves, prompting Itsuki to reflect wistfully on Kazumi. Outside this OVA, Itsuki remains in Shibukawa, continuing gas station work (later converted to a charging station). He eventually marries and has children.
