Description
Syaoran, a clone forged by the sorcerer Fei Wong Reed, exists solely to gather Princess Sakura's scattered memory feathers. The original Syaoran remains imprisoned, his left eye—holding a fragment of his heart—sealed within the clone's right eye. This implant grants the clone burgeoning emotions during his mission. Initially dwelling in Clow Country as archaeologist and Fujitaka’s adoptive son, he forms a profound bond with Sakura. He journeys across dimensions to retrieve her feathers, paying the dimensional witch Yūko Ichihara with Sakura’s memories of him. Throughout this quest, he exhibits protective instincts, martial skill, and deepening camaraderie with companions Kurogane and Fai D. Flowright.

During *Tokyo Revelations*, the seal on his right eye shatters, erasing the implanted heart fragment and extinguishing his emotions. Consumed by feather collection at any cost, he abandons Sakura and steals Fai’s left eye to harness magic, deploying it to annihilate worlds and attack allies. His betrayal peaks when he wounds the original Syaoran, disregards Sakura’s pleas, and escapes through Fei Wong Reed’s portal.

Aligned with Fei Wong, he hunts feathers mercilessly. In a confrontation, he stabs Sakura, convinced her death is essential to halt Fei Wong’s curse. Later, he feigns loyalty to Fei Wong but stages a false death to liberate Sakura. His body disintegrates shortly afterward, though he voices remorse to his companions. These actions arise from the clash between his manufactured purpose and the independent "heart" he cultivated—a conflict that flickers back before his end.

His relationship with Sakura anchors his arc. Early on, he treasures her above all, sacrificing their shared memories for her survival. After losing emotion, he views her as an obstacle to the feathers. Sakura persists in trying to save him, echoing their unresolved bond. His ties with Kurogane and Fai deteriorate from mutual respect to hostility, particularly after he exploits Fai’s magic.

The clone’s existence intertwines with broader lore: post-dissolution, he is revealed as the father of the original Syaoran and Kimihiro Watanuki (from *xxxHolic*). His legacy lingers through residual feathers, symbolizing enduring connections to Sakura and his companions.
