Sang-Hyeon Eom is a prominent South Korean voice actor known for his extensive work dubbing foreign animation and films. He was born on December 29, 1971, and began his career after joining the Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) voice acting division in 1998. Prior to his voice acting debut, he worked in theater, performing in the 1997 musical The Last Empress and serving as an assistant director for other musicals. He has been active as a freelancer since 2001.

Eom gained prominence in the early 2000s for his role as Kira Yamato in the Korean dub of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. His clear and bright vocal tone made him particularly well-suited for playing boy and young male characters, filling a need in the industry at the time of his debut. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a wide vocal range, taking on roles that vary from young boys to comedic characters and villains.

His extensive filmography includes the Korean dubs of numerous popular anime series. Among his many roles are Shun Kazama in From Up on Poppy Hill, Kyon in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Jiro Yoshidayama in School Rumble: Extra Class, and Hikaru Hitachiin in Ouran High School Host Club. He also voiced Tsutomu Senkawa in Birdy the Mighty, Bernard Bernie Wiseman in Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, and Green in Pokémon Origins. His work extends to films as well, such as his role as Souhei Fujii in the Korean dub of Wolf Children. In addition to these, he is widely recognized for his roles as Sonic the Hedgehog in the Sonic franchise, Po in the Kung Fu Panda series, and L in Death Note.

In recognition of his popularity and talent, particularly with younger audiences, Eom won the Nickelodeon Korea Kids' Choice Award in 2012 for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie for his role as Po in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, garnering approximately 38 percent of the total votes. He remains one of the main voice actors representing EBS while continuing to work across various broadcasting stations and media.
