This creation displays fierce, unwavering loyalty to Dr. Hell, following orders without question and prioritizing his master's goals above all else. Ashura initiated the assassination of Dr. Juzo Kabuto and views his son, Koji Kabuto, pilot of Mazinger Z, as a significant adversary.

The Baron engages in tactical operations against the Photon Power Laboratory, deploying Mechanical Beasts and orchestrating schemes like disguising one as a counterfeit Mazinger Z for infiltration and sabotage. Ashura also targets individuals connected to the Mazinger project, coercing scientist Schtroheim Heinrich by destroying his home with the Mechanical Beast River F9 and kidnapping his robotic daughter, Lorelei. These actions reveal a blend of strategic cunning and ruthlessness.

A rivalry exists with other subordinates, like Count Brocken, stemming from competition for Dr. Hell's approval. Despite this, repeated mission failures—such as defeats by Koji Kabuto piloting Mazinger Z or Mazinkaiser—lead to Dr. Hell's escalating frustration. One significant failure results in Ashura's imprisonment within Hell Castle. In a pivotal act of devotion, Ashura volunteers to become the control unit for the ultimate Mechanical Beast, Hell King Gordon, merging with the machine to destroy Mazinkaiser. This fusion initially overwhelms Mazinkaiser, but the Hell King Gordon is ultimately destroyed. Ashura perishes in the explosion, expressing regret for failing Dr. Hell with final words.
