Description
Yūjirō Hanma, known as "The Ogre" or "The Strongest Creature on Earth," dominates the *Baki* series as a titan of raw power. Son of Yuuichirou Hanma—a warrior who annihilated 2,000 American soldiers in World War II using the "Guise" technique—Yūjirō inherited not only his father’s superhuman abilities but also an insatiable hunger for dominance. At 16, he mirrored Yuuichirou’s legend by overpowering the U.S. military during the Vietnam War, securing lifelong political immunity through a treaty renewed yearly. This conquest cemented his status as an entity transcending human boundaries.

Arrogant, sadistic, and obsessed with strength, Yūjirō evolved from a composed youth into a battle-hardened predator who relishes killing as sport. He dismisses mercy as folly, treating most people with contempt, yet sporadically reveals flickers of humanity—offering soup to his son Baki post-combat or quietly mourning Emi Akezawa, Baki’s mother, whom he killed by shattering her spine and eardrums.

Standing 190 cm (6'3") with a 120 kg (265 lbs) frame, crimson hair, and piercing red eyes, Yūjirō’s physique epitomizes martial perfection. His "Demon Back," a grotesque visage formed by hyperdeveloped latissimus dorsi muscles, grants explosive speed and power when activated, reserved only for elite adversaries. A polymath of violence, he commands every martial art, military strategy, and esoteric technique like "Xiao Lee," which reflects attackers’ force. His feats defy nature: halting earthquakes with punches, slaying elephants bare-handed, and enduring lightning unscathed.

Operating as a mercenary, Yūjirō sells his prowess to governments and syndicates, funding an opulent lifestyle while pursuing worthy foes. He grooms Baki as his ultimate rival through psychological warfare and brutal training, oscillating between torment and reluctant collaboration, as seen in their alliance during the Raitai Tournament. Their relationship balances grudging respect with Yūjirō’s obsession to forge Baki into a challenger deserving his full might.

Driven by monstrous testosterone levels, Yūjirō declares himself the sole true "male," reducing others—regardless of gender—to inferior beings. This ethos fuels acts like sexually assaulting Joe William, breaking the man’s psyche. He engages only with equals, such as the cloned swordsman Musashi Miyamoto, whose duels with Yūjirō end in stalemates.

Though Yūjirō embraces his role as humanity’s apex predator, rare glimpses of vulnerability surface, like his unease during a spectral encounter with Yuuichirou. These moments hint at buried familial strife but never soften his core belief: strength absolves all sins, and power reigns supreme.
