Carlos Segundo is a prominent Mexican actor of dubbing, known for his extensive work in anime, animated films, and live-action series for the Latin American Spanish market. Born on September 16, 1956, in Mexico City, he is also a licensed publicist, voice-over announcer, and conductor. His career in dubbing began by chance in 1979 when he visited the ORUGA studio looking for production work and was encouraged by director Don Fernando Álvarez to try voice acting. Today, he is also the Director General of Grupo TIP'S, a studio and school for dubbing and locution. Segundo is widely recognized for his long-standing association with the Dragon Ball franchise, most notably as the voice of Piccolo and Kami-sama in various series and films for over two decades. He reprised this iconic role in the 2022 film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Another significant and recurring role is that of Boss in the Mazinger Z franchise, which he has voiced in various productions. His versatility is showcased across a wide range of anime series and films. He voices Kazuo Yamashita in the Netflix series Kengan Ashura and played the villainous Carmine, also known as The Heat, in the 2021 anime Super Crooks. He is also credited as the voice of Emperor Fred in the classic series Samurai Pizza Cats (Los Gatos Samurai).
