Description
High school student Hibiki Manabe is on his way to class when a sudden flash of light blinds him, and he finds himself standing alone in a vast, monster-infested grassland. He has been transported to another world, separated from his classmates with no clear way home. After a status screen appears before him, he discovers he has been given the job of Appraiser Provisional, along with several non-combat skills that seem useless for surviving in a fantasy world filled with threats.

Wandering alone, Hibiki encounters Emalia Steinbart, an older elf woman who is an adventurer. She takes pity on him and decides to guide him, teaching him the basics of this new world. Together they form a party, and Hibiki soon discovers that his seemingly weak Appraisal skill is anything but ordinary. His ability allows him to see detailed information about anything he observes, from monsters and treasures to people's hidden stats and weaknesses. Through Emalia's guidance, he learns that his appraisal powers have been enhanced directly by the chief god of this world, who has taken a special interest in him. The job of appraiser, typically looked down upon as a support role, begins to reveal itself as potentially the strongest job of all.

As Hibiki searches for a way to return to Japan, he recruits new members to his party. The first is Claude, a wolf beastman and former legendary hero who carries a curse that has weakened him significantly. Hibiki uses his appraisal skills to diagnose Claude's condition and find a way to break the curse, earning the beastman's undying loyalty. Next is Lilian, a young girl with immense magical potential who has been abandoned by her family because she cannot control her power. Hibiki recognizes her as a future sage and helps her stabilize her abilities, causing her to view him as an older brother figure. A small white cat named Vene, who is actually a sacred beast sent by the gods, also joins the group, though the cat has eccentric tendencies and becomes easily aroused when petted.

The party takes on quests and adventures across the world, with Hibiki consistently proving that his appraisal abilities make him indispensable. His skills allow him to identify the most valuable treasures, spot traps before they spring, analyze enemy attack patterns, and find unconventional solutions to seemingly impossible problems. He even receives a unique support system called Support-chan, a manifestation of the chief gods assistance that only Hibiki can hear, which provides tutorials and guidance. As the party grows stronger, Hibiki uncovers hints that his transportation to this world may not have been an accident, and that the gods have a larger plan involving him.

Throughout their journey, Hibiki remains blissfully unaware of how his earnest and friendly personality charms nearly everyone he meets. Older women, including Emalia, guild receptionists, and even elven maids, find themselves attracted to him, though his natural denseness prevents him from noticing. His primary goal remains finding his missing classmates and discovering a way home. However, the path forward is blocked by enormous challenges. The world is threatened by four legendary warriors, seven great sages, eight demon lords, and eleven gods, all of whom seem to be connected to Hibikis summoning in ways he does not yet understand. The chief god and the magic god frequently intervene in his life, sometimes helping him and sometimes causing complications. As Hibiki continues his adventure with his growing family of companions, he moves closer to uncovering the truth behind why he was brought to this world and whether he can ever return to his own.
