Description
Suzune Senmiya, a young voice actress, has spent six months trying to get over the sudden retirement of her favorite idol, Karin Kanezuki. Just as she begins to move on, Karin unexpectedly joins the same talent agency as a new voice actress. Suzune tries to maintain a professional distance, but Karin aggressively pursues a closer relationship, eager to learn from her more experienced senior. As they work together, Suzune finds herself seeing new sides of Karin and begins to perceive her former idol not just as a performer, but as a woman.

The story is set within the Japanese voice acting industry, where a practice known as yuri business is common. Female voice actors are often expected to perform flirtatious interactions with each other during promotional events, photoshoots, and radio broadcasts to entertain fans. For Suzune, this professional expectation carries a private weight. She identifies as a lesbian, someone who is yuri for real, and feels a deep guilt about performing romantic gestures with coworkers who may not realize her genuine attraction. She navigates a hypocritical environment that forbids its talent from pursuing real relationships while forcing them to fake intimacy on the job.

As Suzune and Karin grow closer through shared work on an anime project, Suzune struggles with her growing feelings. The central conflict revolves around whether Suzune can reveal her true emotions to Karin, or whether her actions will be dismissed as just another instance of yuri business. A key narrative turning point involves Suzune coming to terms with her secret fandom of Karin and confessing that she was once her biggest supporter. The resolution of this confession, handled in the latter half of the story, allows both characters room to grow beyond their initial roles of fan and idol. The relationship deepens as Karin proves receptive, and Suzune discovers she is not alone in her identity within the industry.
