When itinerant traveler Orbit, known as Ollie, becomes stranded without proper paperwork in the authoritarian city-state of Belote, the only work he can find is as a caretaker or gardener at a male brothel called Le Jouet Queue. He soon discovers that the companions working there are furless, beings who are half animal and half human, treated as pets, property, and sometimes even as livestock for slaughter. For many of these furless individuals, life at the brothel, though confining, offers better food, shelter, and care than the cruelties they faced outside. Ollie's gentle and considerate nature catches the attention of Aconit, the most prized and coveted furless in the establishment. What begins as idle seduction deepens into genuine feeling as Ollie sees past Aconit's haughty and aloof facade to the lonely, wounded creature beneath, while Aconit finds his distrust of humans challenged by Ollie's tender affection. Their relationship faces growing pressure as tensions mount and the systematic mistreatment of the furless weighs increasingly on Ollie's conscience. The manga is written and illustrated by Rirako Kabashima, serialized from February 2019 to October 2022, and published in English by Tokyopop.
