Suzu Inaba has lived for 398 years, cursed with immortality she no longer wants. Her daily routine with her 19-year-old live-in boyfriend, Sakuro Saku Usami, revolves around one grim ritual: he helps her attempt suicide. Each morning, after another failed attempt, Suzu wakes up to find Saku begging her to continue living with him. Their relationship is an impossible paradox, his love demands her survival while her existence demands an end. One day, haunted by painful memories from her centuries of life, Suzu discovers what she believes is a surefire way to finally die, forcing their fragile dynamic toward an inevitable crisis.

The story follows these two characters exclusively. Suzu appears to be in her twenties, a youthful appearance that belies her nearly four centuries of existence. Saku is exactly what he seems, a young man deeply devoted to his immortal lover, even as he facilitates her daily suicide attempts. Their home together serves as the primary setting for this intimate and tragic romance, a private space where life and death negotiations occur each day.

The manga is based on a short web comic the author posted on their blog and Pixiv account in July 2014. This initial concept proved successful enough that it was later serialized in Monthly Comic@Bunch magazine, running from June 2015 to March 2016. The complete serialization spans nine chapters collected into two volumes. The story is classified as a seinen demographic title, targeting adult readers with its mature themes of immortality, mortality, and the limits of devotion.
