Sana is hospitalized after injuring her leg, and it is there she meets Akane, another girl who is also confined to the medical facility. Growing curious about the mysterious and distant Akane after seeing her countless times, a stroke of fate helps Sana reach out to her. What develops is a complex and physically charged relationship defined by an intense power imbalance.

The first volume establishes Akane as someone who is socially broken, seemingly without family or friends, and grappling with an unspecified illness. She has a strong tendency to romantically and sexually assert dominance over Sana, often acting as the aggressor without creating space for feelings or meaningful conversation. Sana struggles to understand Akane, who for much of the story appears to have no interest in being understood.

The narrative expands in the second volume as both girls attempt to reframe their relationship to fit their own needs. A key chapter is told from the perspective of Sana’s friend Mi-chan, who feels cut out of her intimate friendship with Sana. Mi-chan struggles with jealousy but eventually realizes she admires Sana and Akane as a couple. Once she makes an effort to befriend Akane, the unsocialized girl starts to warm up, suggesting that socialization is very good for her. By the end of the second volume, Akane takes a leap to meet Sana where she is, even at the cost of some embarrassment, hinting at the potential for a more functional relationship.
