In the town of Karasugaoka, two rival vigilante groups have formed to prevent crime. VOICE patrols the east side while Karasukai watches over the west, keeping the community safe through their voluntary efforts. The two groups leaders, Sou Izuhara and Shinba Tetsuji, clash constantly, winding up in arguments every time they meet. On the surface, they appear to mix as well as oil and water, unable to see eye to eye on anything. The truth is far more complicated. Sou secretly harbors deep feelings of admiration for Shinba, stemming from an incident in his youth when Shinba rescued him. Unfortunately, Sou is completely unable to express these true feelings. His shyness, combined with his reputation as a leader and his embarrassment over being vulnerable, causes him to lash out with insults instead of affection. As the two crime fighters continue patrolling their halves of Karasugaoka and aiding the community, Sou struggles to muster the courage to confess what he really wants to Shinba and close the distance between them. The story follows his attempts to overcome his own awkwardness while maintaining his position and pride. The complete narrative spans twelve chapters, following Sou and Shinba through their encounters around town as they deal with crime, community issues, and the slowly shifting dynamic between them.
