Office worker Mochizuki lives a thoroughly unremarkable life, his days consumed by overtime and routine. Nothing out of the ordinary ever happens to him until his workplace gains a new hire: his former classmate Hinata Natsuki. Where Mochizuki is ordinary, Hinata is extraordinary, blessed with good looks, a prestigious family background, and sharp intelligence. The two are polar opposites, yet Hinata is determined to transform their former classmate relationship into a romantic one. Mochizuki, however, cannot fathom why someone so exceptional would show romantic interest in someone as unexceptional as himself, leading him to question his own self-worth.
