Jiro Haruta is a college student with an unfortunate habit of attracting trouble. While walking to class, he encounters an odd-looking cat and tries to avoid it, but the creature steals his lunch and follows him home. Things take an even stranger turn when the cat transforms into an extremely handsome young man named Kanawa, who declares in front of everyone that he wants to be kept by Jiro as his pet.

The story follows the comedic sitcom-like dynamic that unfolds as Kanawa, who is a purebred catboy capable of shifting between a small, adorable chibi form and a tall, pretty-boy human form, forcefully inserts himself into Jiro’s daily life. Jiro, who largely sees Kanawa as a pet he is raising, finds his ordinary student existence disrupted by the catboy’s persistent and public displays of affection. The humor derives from the ambiguous nature of their relationship, which outside observers perceive as romantic despite Jiro’s more practical perspective. The narrative also includes recurring elements such as a dandy older professor with a weakness for cute things and a college catboy club.

The manga is a single-volume work by creator Naruko, known for other series such as Accomplishments of Fudanshi Bartender. It was originally serialized in Zero-Sum Online from July 2023 to February 2024 before being released in English by Seven Seas Entertainment in September 2025.
