A nameless protagonist who is six times more susceptible to spiritual phenomena than an ordinary person finds his life turned upside down when he encounters Mechako, the eccentric leader of the Kaikigumi. This secret organization is responsible for managing and policing the ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural creatures that threaten human beings. Despite his overwhelming cowardice, he gets roped into helping the group re-establish itself, setting off a string of bizarre, humorous, and only mildly terrifying incidents around him.
