Description
Yae is a 29-year-old woman whose life has fallen apart; she has just lost her job and her home in a single stroke. At her lowest point, her childhood friend Takumi reappears. He is a highly successful and handsome architect living a glamorous life in a penthouse condominium in the heart of Tokyo. He offers her a place to stay, but with a significant condition: she must act as his fake wife. The arrangement is meant to protect him from the relentless pursuit of women, serving as a convenient cover.

Yae accepts the offer, and the two begin a clandestine life as a pretend married couple. The agreement comes with a set time limit of six months. Despite the transactional nature of their deal, the boundary between pretense and reality quickly becomes blurred. Living under the same roof forces them to confront their complicated history and the lingering feelings they harbor for one another.

A significant narrative arc takes the pair to Dubai, where the complexities of their fake relationship are put to the test. There, Yae attracts the unwanted attention of a sheik, a client and friend of Takumi who becomes so entranced by her that he expresses a desire to make her his fourth wife. This situation escalates dramatically when the sheik kidnaps Yae, forcing Takumi to confront his true feelings and rescue her.

Following the events in Dubai, Takumi and Yae return to Japan. As Yae receives a promotion at work and begins to imagine a future with Takumi beyond their contract, new challenges arise. Their fake marriage has created a real emotional bond, but misunderstandings and the difficulty of moving from a contractual arrangement to an honest relationship continue to threaten their happiness. The story follows their struggle to navigate their professional lives and the persistent question of whether their marriage will ever become genuine.
