Description
One hundred years ago, the kingdom of Astrit was founded with the support of four witches who stood beside the first king. The story centers on Lil, the current Witch of Rain, who is living alone after the death of her foster parent and predecessor, Alexia. The loss has left Lil emotionally shattered, causing her magical powers to become unstable, which manifests as a continuous downpour around her.
One day, a nobleman known as the Ashen Duke, Leorart, appears before Lil. He requests her help in finding the original giver of a necklace, a memento left to him by his late sister. Despite her grief and unstable condition, Lil agrees to take on his request due to a past debt of gratitude. However, Leorart appears to have another, undisclosed purpose for seeking her out.
The narrative weaves together past and present, gradually revealing the secrets surrounding the kingdom's founding witches. The story explores Lil's journey as she learns that a witch only becomes truly mature once she understands love. As she works with Leorart, the mysteries of the previous generation, including the fate of the King's Witch named Beatrice, begin to surface. Their investigation into the necklace's origins deepens, leading to revelations that tie the history of the four witches to the current state of the kingdom. The narrative is set against a backdrop of nobility and magic, with key events unfolding at locations such as the Grawal manor.
