The manga's title is actually Boku to Gal ga Fuufu ni Naru made, which translates to Until the Gal and I Become a Married Couple. The story centers on Sora Kanakura, a diligent boy from an impoverished family who studies hard enough to pass the entrance exam for a prestigious high school. Just as his future seems promising, he discovers that his parents have accumulated a massive debt with repayment now due. When debt collectors come calling, a mysterious and flashy gal named Luna Momose suddenly appears and offers to pay off the entire sum. The relief is short-lived, however, as Luna attaches one major condition to her generosity: Sora must become her husband.

The manga is set in contemporary Japan, moving between Sora's modest living situation and the more affluent world Luna inhabits. Sora is a serious, hardworking student who has spent his life fending for himself due to his irresponsible parents. Luna is presented as a wealthy, confident, and attractive gyaru whose motivations for choosing Sora are initially unclear, though she reveals she has been watching him for some time and admires his diligence. The narrative follows the contractual and increasingly complicated relationship between the two teenagers as they navigate living together, attending school, and hiding their unusual arrangement while genuine feelings slowly begin to develop. The story balances romantic comedy with ecchi fan service and hints at deeper secrets beneath Luna's cheerful exterior.

The series was serialized in Dengeki Daioh magazine, beginning in December 2022. It was compiled into two volumes encompassing 23 chapters. The story was left unfinished as the manga was discontinued following the death of the author, Shino, in June 2025 at the age of 28.
