Description
In a prestigious academy reserved for the most promising children of the elite, Takatora Kumajishi stands at the apex. As the heir to one of the most powerful families, he is an alpha blessed with an unmatched physique, towering intelligence, and overwhelming charisma. His future as a leader of society seems assured until he begins to feel a strange physical discomfort. To his horror, the symptoms are identical to the heat periods experienced by omegas, the lowest class in this hierarchical world, often treated as little more than property for breeding. The perfect heir is forced to confront a truth that shatters his identity: he is not an alpha, but a late-blooming omega.

The story follows Takatora as his entire life is upended. Rejecting the submissive destiny imposed on his newfound class, he decides to wield his formidable will and intellect to survive on his own terms. After his secret is exposed, he is transferred from the Alpha Special Class to the omega classroom, a space marked by different dreams, friendships, and the complex realities of navigating a society that views its members as inferior. There, he meets his new classmates, including Arisaka, an omega with severe hormonal imbalances who is routinely abused by alphas, and Kameyama, the class delegate who secretly works as an activist for omega rights.

The narrative unfolds in two distinct arcs. The first volume focuses on the immediate aftermath of Takatora's first heat and his struggle to maintain control in an environment that now sees him as prey. Refusing to be victimized, he begins a transactional sexual relationship with Arisaka, using his money and status to assert dominance in a way that subverts typical omega dynamics. The second volume jumps forward seven years, following the characters into adulthood. Takatora, having lost his inheritance, now lives with Kameyama, who is studying law while engaging in activism to combat systemic inequality. The story deepens its critique of this omegaverse society, exploring themes such as wage gaps, forced marriages, and the difficulty of deconstructing ingrained prejudices, even for a former alpha like Takatora who is learning what it means to be an omega from the inside.
