A wolf beastman named Tōma works as a patrolman keeping the peace in the city of Edo, preferring a quiet and stable life. His routine is shattered one night when he rescues a mysterious girl named Rikka from unknown assailants. Rikka reveals herself to be a noble lady from the distant land of Izumo, carrying a dangerous secret that has made her a hunted target. Tōma decides to shelter her, offering protection within his home. Rikka, exhausted from a life of constant running, finds herself envying the simple, peaceful existence that Tōma leads. However, Tōma has never lived with a woman before, and this new arrangement brings a host of chaotic and turbulent situations into both their lives, marking the beginning of an action-packed and emotionally charged journey set in an alternate fantasy version of the Edo period.
