Description
Ijime Tantei follows a private detective named Imamura who operates outside the conventional systems of school and family to combat bullying. When victims of theft, extortion, physical violence, or group sexual assault find no support from parents, teachers, or classmates and have lost all hope, they can turn to Imamura. He possesses the unique skills and methods to teach them how to fight back and reclaim their lives. The series is set in contemporary Japan, where statistics show reported bullying cases increasing annually and roughly three hundred students driven to suicide each year. Imamura himself is the central figure, a new kind of hero who takes direct action against tormentors and the systemic failures that enable them. The narrative grounds his approach in real-world experience, as the story is inspired by the author's actual background in handling bullying cases. As the series progresses, the detective takes on multiple clients facing various forms of abuse, each case forming a distinct arc that exposes different facets of school violence and social neglect. The overarching narrative follows Imamura's mission to empower the powerless, offering a blend of social commentary and suspense-driven storytelling.
