The world of 20XX is finally at peace. Dr. Wily has retired following the retirement of his rival, Dr. Light, and the days of world conquest and constant battles are over. An adult Rock, once known as Mega Man, has set aside his Mega Buster for a new career as a dentist, running a practice with his sister Roll as his assistant. The former Robot Masters, once reprogrammed as weapons, now live as ordinary citizens: Cut Man works as a barber, Flame Man is a chef, and Top Man has become an online influencer.

However, this peaceful existence comes with unexpected complications. Rock finds himself spending less time at his dental practice and more time listening to the troubles of his former enemies over drinks. The Robot Masters, equipped with advanced cognitive chips, experience genuine existential worries about their place in the world. Guts Man frets about being made obsolete by newer, more efficient robot models, while Cut Man questions the practicality of his own design. Rock acts as a patient confidant, offering advice and friendship to robots struggling to find meaning in a world that no longer needs them as warriors.

Beneath this calm surface, a new conflict begins to stir. Reports emerge of civil unrest and robot uprisings, but this time there is no mad scientist pulling the strings. Dr. Light discovers that newer model robots are going haywire despite their limiter chips, initially raising suspicions of Wily, who remains under constant surveillance and is proven to be uninvolved. As the situation escalates, an old foe returns. Enker, one of the Mega Man Killers, reappears not as a straightforward villain but as a complex ally. Believing his life only has meaning if he can eventually destroy Mega Man, Enker decides to protect his rival from all other threats, ensuring he will be the one to finally claim victory.

The narrative builds toward a bittersweet resolution. A full-scale robot rebellion emerges, and a new, mysterious foe with ambitions similar to Wily's comes to light. Rock is forced to don his helmet once more, aided by Enker and the reluctant support of a retired Dr. Wily, who provides crucial information to Top Man about a hidden massacre that sparked the uprising. The manga concludes with the Light family viewed with suspicion by a public angry over Rock's decision to allow the rebelling robots to escape to a space station. Yet, there is hope; the ban on repairing older Robot Masters is relaxed, allowing them to keep their jobs, and Enker becomes the Rockman of space. Rock and Roll return to their dentistry, with the understanding that whenever the world truly needs a hero, the Blue Bomber will be ready to fight again.
