Description
Jishō Kyūketsuki-chan Kaiitan follows a self-proclaimed vampire named Luminita who arrives in Japan to fulfill the dying wish of a deceased friend. That friend, a dedicated collector of supernatural oddities, left behind an unfinished manuscript known as the Kaiitan, a compendium of strange tales. The friend’s final request was for Luminita to complete this work together with his son. There is a significant complication: the son, Yutaka, does not believe in ghosts, monsters, or any form of the supernatural at all. The story centers on the dynamic between Luminita, who claims to be a vampire and wishes to be accepted as one, and Yutaka, a skeptic who rejects the very existence of her world. The narrative unfolds as Luminita attempts to convince him to help her finish the collection, forcing her to prove the reality of the unnatural while they encounter various eerie phenomena together. The primary characters are Luminita, the foreign visitor who insists she is a vampire, and Yutaka, the son of the deceased collector who denies all things occult. The manga is drawn by Honami Honma and presents itself as a cute supernatural tale.
