Description
Ikeda manages a cafe in the bustling nightlife district of Kabukicho, but his composure shatters whenever Rio walks through the door. Rio is a host with a flaky, charming demeanor who frequently visits the cafe, and his every gesture and word reminds Ikeda of someone he has desperately tried to forget. During his high school years, Ikeda fell in love with a classmate who ultimately betrayed him, leaving a wound that has never fully healed. The host Rio seems to mirror that painful memory too closely for comfort. Despite his irritation, Ikeda cannot bring himself to turn Rio away, and the two lonely individuals find themselves drawn into an unexpected connection.
Rio carries his own dark past and has cut himself off from the idea of serious relationships, approaching his encounters with Ikeda on his own calculated terms. As Ikeda spends more time with Rio, including a fateful night at Rio's apartment after a chance meeting in Kabukicho, he begins to realize that the host is not simply a tormenting ghost from his past but a separate person with his own complicated history and reasons for seeking Ikeda out. The story follows these two men as they navigate their respective traumas, slowly stripping away their emotional defenses in the vibrant and chaotic atmosphere of Kabukicho. While Ikeda must confront the betrayal that haunts him, Rio must face his own reasons for keeping love at a distance, and together they discover a shared world where they might finally heal. Their journey moves from initial hostility and deep-seated mistrust to a vulnerable connection that offers a way out of their loneliness. This narrative stands as a spin-off from the main Kabukicho Bad Trip series, shifting focus away from the BDSM elements of the original story to concentrate entirely on the emotional and romantic development between Ikeda and Rio.
