Description
Exhausted from working at a black company after graduation, a young woman named Koharu decides to change jobs. She applies to a new company and goes for an interview, only to discover that the president is Mizusawa, an upperclassman from her university days whom she once confessed her love to, only to be rejected. Despite her shame, he takes her under his wing, hires her, and she begins working hard as his employee.

Koharu finds herself in a complicated position. Her boss is the man who turned her down years ago, and as a professional, she believes she should lock away her lingering feelings. Yet, despite his cool and aloof demeanor, President Mizusawa often shows her a gentler side, leaving her unable to discard her old affections. The story navigates their relationship as they transition from being seniors and juniors to a president and subordinate, exploring the question of whether Koharu is allowed to continue loving him even after being rejected.

The central conflict deepens when a rival appears. Mine, a wealthy inn heir and Koharu's former classmate from university, appears as a client and proposes to her. When Koharu reveals her intention to turn him down, Mizusawa, who had previously shown little overt jealousy, suddenly kisses her, pushing their unspoken dynamic into more intense territory. The series follows the push-and-pull of their relationship, balancing moments of possessiveness and emotional distance.
