Two honor students and class representatives, Ushidome-kun and Shirakaba-san, approach everything in their lives with cold, hard logic. Everyone in their class thinks they would be the perfect couple, but Shirakaba insists she does not have even a second to waste on love. Stung by her absolute rejection, Ushidome quickly adds that he is in no state to fall in love either, a comment that paradoxically annoys her. Despite their public declarations of indifference, a private and awkward romance begins to bloom between them in the empty classroom after school. They are hesitant yet bold when no one else is watching, but both are too proud and too rational to admit their true feelings. As they grow increasingly conscious of each other, the strict reason that defines their lives threatens to collapse under the pressure of their own worldly desires. The story follows these two explosive personalities as they struggle against their growing attraction, unable to be honest with each other while being tormented by the emotions they swore they would never entertain.
