Sena is a high school girl trying to suppress her growing feelings for her classmate, Wataya. He is naturally affectionate and touchy, but frustratingly, he acts this way with everyone and is also oblivious to romantic attention. After seeing him share what she thought was a special moment with another girl, and then a male classmate, she decides a confession would be hopeless. Instead, she asks Wataya to set her up with one of his friends. The setup fails, leaving Sena emotionally distraught. When Wataya comes to walk her home, she finally explodes and confesses, asking him to reject her so she can move on. To her shock, Wataya admits he returns her feelings, revealing that he has secretly been in love with her for a very long time. They agree to a one-month trial relationship, during which Sena discovers the intensity of his long-suppressed affection.
