Manga
Description
On the island of Nakiri in Nagasaki, a young girl named Naoko arrives to receive treatment for her asthma. There, she meets Yuusei, a boy who loves to run. One day, Naoko falls into the sea, and Yuusei's father dives in to save her. He succeeds in rescuing the girl but perishes in the process, an event that leaves both children deeply traumatized.

Six years later, Naoko and Yuusei cross paths again, this time in Tokyo. The boy who loved to run has grown into a brilliant competitive runner, but he remains haunted by his father's death. Their fated reunion forces both to confront the guilt and sorrow from their shared past, setting the stage for a dramatic sports story about healing, rivalry, and the pursuit of new goals on the running track. The manga weaves together the psychological weight of the accident with the physical intensity of athletic competition, as Naoko seeks a way to make amends while Yuusei struggles to move forward. The series ran for 68 chapters collected in six volumes, written by Nobuhiro Sakata and illustrated by Yū Nakahara.
